Regarding the cloud and MS's u-turn on an always connected console. A few of the games at E3 really used the cloud as a selling point. For example Forza 5 - They said the cloud plays a massive part in the game, such as learning the players driving habits and also "no two players career will be the same" and the "end of AI" thanks to the cloud. But now the Xbox One is going to be an offline console, how is all this going to affect the game? Did the developers have a backup plan in case MS did change it to an offline console? Or did they know already?

Here's info on the cloud being used in Forza: http://www.gameinformer.com/games/fo...n-forza-5.aspx

its all a load of hype and shite. Watch the functions work just as well without the cloud or an internet connection.

EA has confirmed once again that the company will not be using online passes moving forward to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the controversial program that prevents used game purchases from key features like online multiplayer gaming and other content through the use of codes."[There is] no change to our decision to discontinue Online Pass. It is dead," said John Reseburg, EA senior director of corporate communications. "As we said a few weeks ago, none of our new EA titles will include online pass, and we are removing it from existing games as well. Nothing else on today's news, but did want to be clear that our online pass decision was based on player feedback, and there's no change."

This cloud computing gimmick is bollocks.

It takes devs years to get the best out of the hardware sat in our own front rooms. Unless they reach the absolute maximum the hardware can do there's no point shifting the processing to the cloud because you just introduce latency... Unless they have a 20 year life cycle then I can't see that happening.

Although this is just a rumour from CBoat, he has said the Xbox One's Family Sharing plan was only 15 minute - 60 minute demo's of the games. Before the U-turn from MS, they were trying to use the Family Sharing plan as a big selling point, saying you could name 10 "family" members and you can share your games with them. But according to Cboat, a family member could only play these games for between 15 minutes and 60 minutes before it took you to the Marketplace so you could buy the game if you liked it. MS didn't mention any of this during their presentation or interviews after.
