Default Easyjet - Messed return date up!

    Hi all,

Where do i stand with easyjet? booked flights only, last year, for 20th july, return 9th august to cyprus, ive got the confirmation email to prove,

ive wisely booked allocated seating with speedy boarding, checked email after, the return date is now the 2nd august!

After a load of messing about, ive phoned them up, and theyve said, theres NO chance that would happen and i would need to pay admin fees and flight difference.... argued my case, said ive got the email, so ive been asked to send this in...

Its not one of those, oooopppss ive messed up and trying to get it amended for free, as i done my research and the planning is down to the T, ive paid for dog kennel, car parking, hotels etc, got enough spending, got things booked..... ive read on a few other sites, that easyjet are terrible, and wont care....

so where do i stand, as its not my error and have the proof in way of email.....

If you have a confirmation then you should be fine. Are you near the airport?

    Thanks to SiE

Your confirmation proves the original booking so you shouldn't have any issues. Their fuck up, not yours.

Be thankful its easyjet and not ryanair...

Not that easyjet's CS is much better, but their airport staff generally aren't as bigger nazis as ryanair.

lol, well im hoping it gets sorted, they want £535 off me!
The guy on the phone i could of kicked off, but i thought keep my calm so theres no excuse, but he was banging on and on, there is no way this would happen, the system wouldnt allow it etc etc, may aswell of called me a liar and to stop trying it on!

he would not transfer me to a manager as they would tell me the same, as soon as i mentioned confirmation, he said ill send you an email if i reply to that with the confirmation, which ive now done, so just gotta wait for them to move there arses now!

EasyJet are proper cnuts. I booked my stag do with them and one of my mates told me to book it in a name that didn't match the name on his passport (don't ask lol).

I ended up booking two additional flights as it was cheaper than paying the admin fees required to change the original tickets.

    Thanks to Mr.James

    Well good news!
After £22 worth of phone calls, as i could not find a number on saynoto0870, and it was a 0843 number, it has finally been resolved, they did not tell me why it happened, just sorry for the system error...

They changed my flight to the original return date, on the 9th august, then i noticed i did not have my allocated seating, so after further arguing that i want my seats, they where already booked and gone, and my reply was thats a load of bollocks, there my seats, easyjet messed the dates up, so i suggest you get my seats, i need 2 xl seats, with my children directly behind me in a row of 3.

could not offer this, so i said well i suggest you change the date until you find my seating arrangements, so he found me 2 xl seats, with the kids behind on the 11th,

anyway all booked and confirmed, i thought id push my luck, and asked for further baggage allowance, and was told not that i had a goodwill gesture having the date extended for free, so i argued back, that it was not a good will as you booked my seats and fucked up, its not my problem, anyway email back the next day, theyve added an extra 20kg, so now have 60kg!

so got there in the end after a good week of hard fighting, and constant badgering, you will not speak to anybody english, you just get these numptys abroad! so i did bang my head a few times trying to make them understand!

    All done!
    thanks all

I would send them a cover letter explaining what happened and pointing out that they finally admitted it was their fault by rearranging the dates. I would include an invoice with a copy of the phone bill highlighting the calls. As you don't have a prior agreement of payment terms, state that payment is required within 30 days which is standard practice. You can also mention that interest will be payable if the debt is not settled within the 30 days.

You may think this is over the top but they would soon chase you for costs if it was the other way around. (">

I would also add your own Admin fee for serving them the invoice for your out of pocket expenses.

Well the time is looming, boarding pass's printed, checked in online, everything is in line and all double checked!

Leaving a day early to make sure any hiccups, car breaking down, traffic, motorway shut etc, leaving plenty of time as we all know what easyjet are like if your late etc, so no excuses

Legoland for the day, then on to the airport for the hotel!

    So far, So good!

Watch out for the DWP check before passport control. There checking who is claiming and travelling.

They caught a family I know last month. They let the family leave but canceled their benefits and nabed the daughters boyfriends cash In his wallet as he had an outstanding CSA liabilty order which allows them to do it.

    Thanks to JonEp

Id tell um to do one in the nicest way, can't arrest you plus your allowed to have 2 weeks holiday it's just very shady and forms need to be filled out but they won't tell you that!

I'm not on that game anymore so got nothing to worry about, been working for a few months and lucky holiday pot is sufficient to cover the time off!

cant scratch your own arse in this country let alone go away! Jealous coonts!
