I've been a member for over 8 years and since then have seen a lot of members come and go. Some good, some bad, some worst

I've always tried to stay active but did go very quiet when I initially moved over to Cyprus in 2007. Probably didn't post anything for a good two years but slowly became more active as I got my shit together again.

I just wanted to know how your own experience have differed since joining DF. This place is still in my favourites bar and gets visited daily as long as I am close to an internet connection. I definitely think we've turned more in to a social site than a technically focused one but I think that's just a reflection of the times.

I think we're all just growing older together and priorities have shifted from hacking to making savings and taking care of our families/mortgages/loans. The fact that the footy section is so much more civilised is a good reflection of this. The photo section still goes strong thanks to some amazing togs among us.

Thankfully the geek in us all is still prevalent judging my the upcoming console war

would say i am a lurker constantly looking on the site, just dont post very much, try and help as much as i can but most of the time someone else has allready helped, i just love how diverse the forums are, because of df i have stopped smoking because of the champix thread coming up three years now, the photo section got me out with a camera and i enjoyed playing fifa a few years back when the league was up and running, the internet wouldnt be the same with out df for me. There are just so many people on here that know so much i constantly learn new things just wish i could give back more

I've probably fell into all those category's at some point. There's plenty of times I've tried to help typing a nice long helpful reply only for someone to come up with a quick one sentence resolution while I've been typing. But easy to say I've learned more on here than any other site.

I'm fairly active, I'm on here pretty much every day. Mostly phone browsing these days though (train journey to and from work) so that inhibits my ability to reply as much as I like (fat fingers).

Still chip in where I can offer sound advice and definitely try and give more than I take.

This community has definitely evolved, as well as its members. Us regulars debate (well most of us) and manage to switch from making serious and meaningful to complete and utter bollocks with the blink of an eye. That's what makes it lovely.

Go for lurker as I visit more than post, is the number of posts accurate or has it been reset with one of the upgrades.

I do remember when we lost the DF dollar function, not sure if that was cleared at the same time.

I too visit every day, more than once a day. But dont post as much as some. Most of the time the question has been answered. Or I don't have an opinion either way!

I was talking to my mate at work about snake bites and I asked him, If I was bitten on the anus would he suck the poison out?
