My new forerunner (a 210) arrived this morning so I'm itching to get out and try it but it'll have to wait until Monday morning. Bike today. 20 or so miles needed to beat last week's total.

22.5 miles tonight. Nice solid feeling ride and helped out by a new saddle.

Takes my weekly total to 147 miles beating last week's 145 :-)

Oh I used the new running watch (a forerunner 210) around the same ride.
It performed well. Not as fully featured as the 405cx but very good nonetheless.

Set out to do around 20 miles tonight but the headwind was fierce so I zigzagged my way against it out to my furthest point and started to make my way back. Took some roads I don't normally take and it ended up 30 miles :-)
Great start to my cycling week

5k run this morning. First mile or so felt kak but much better for mile 2 and 3 and felt great by the end.
I think it's a bit slower than Friday but I haven't had time to look yet.

Normally give my body a 2 day rest after a 21km but only left my normal 1 day and did a 14km in good time, similar pace to sat with the 4:30+ around the same point (hilly).
Any how, look at lap 12, I was racing a lad on the other side of the road.. And won

I hear you. In a similar vein, there is nothing I love more than spotting a cyclist in the distance. I'll pull up trees trying to catch them. When I've posted a new PB it's usually when this has happened, especially if it's on a long stretch and you're just about catching them but not quickly. The BEST motivation bar none.

17 miles this evening.
Decent ride considering this morning's run and yesterday's 30 mile bike.

Another 17 miles this evening. A great average despite a lethargic start.

This morning's 5k
Still having HRM isuues, you can clearly see on the graph where it started reading wrong at about 19mins.
I tried some conductive gel but it hasn't helped much sadly. Anyone got any tips ?

Felt a good strong run, I felt like I had some left in the tank but worked well.

Make it tight. It will loosen as you run.
I wear compression tops so it keeps everything in place. I buy them cheap from Korea on eBay pal.

My 14km was tough this morning.
Misty so the air was heavy, plus aching legs.
17km Friday
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/370304625
Notices my first km was very slow today, looked at the map and the GPS was not locked correctly making it longer than it was! I thought my average when running was slow.
I always wait until its about 8m accuracy... Must have been the mist this morning. It did lock on correctly at about 1km

I don't think it's loose, it doesn't move at all. I have a feeling it may be a combination of things such as static from synthetic tops, bad conductivity etc. but it's got worse after being great when new. I need to sort it out as I'm fed up of seeing 190+ readings.
At the end of my run this morning I took my shirt off whilst sat on the wall outside but it didn't seem to help. I moved the monitor around a bit but again it didn't change the reading. It takes a little while to float downwards when it starts to work properly again so it's not an exact science as you can't see immediately that it's got better when you adjust something.
I was just going to buy a premium one but looking at google it seems people have as much trouble with those as with the older standard ones. It's frustrating because I'm trying to train in a specific zone for my fitness and I can't stay there if I can't measure it !

Your putting it under the breast plate?
I vaguely remember having issues when I first got mine, I think I replaced the battery and I also make sure I dry it off after every run.
Now it's fine

I have it, for want of a better phrase, under my moobs (lol).
I had never washed it but when I was getting problems I took it in the shower with me. Hasn't seemed to make a difference. I'm going to change the battery this afternoon to try that.
Cheers,
malty

When you take everything off do you keep the HRM and watch close by? It could be they are constantly talking and as a result draining the battery? Mine are kept apart enough not to do so.
I don't put my HRM in the shower with me, just a damp towel.
