Info Download MoDaCo.Switch For HTC One To Switch Between Sense And Stock Android ROMs

The MoDaCo.Switch for the HTC One, which allows owners of the device to dual-boot between the Sense and Google Edition interfaces, has been released to the public in beta. For users looking for a clean, pure Android experience most of the time but a little tentative about dropping Sense, MoDaCo.Switch is the perfect go-between, and with a relatively easy setup, your HTC One could be running both stock Android and the Taiwanese company’s modded Sense iteration.

With any digital device, but particularly a smartphone, having a wide range of options is a nigh-on necessity. It has long since been the case that vendors threw on their overlay launchers and bloatware and left users to be done with it, but as we’ve seen over these past couple of months, the likes of Samsung and HTC have been less inclined to force their respective Sense and TouchWiz interfaces on everybody by launching separate Google editions of their flagship handsets.

MoDaCo.Switch extends the increasing amount of choice to consumers with its Switch utility, which brings dual boot ROMs for vanilla Android as well as the Sense version.

So if you prefer the untouched Android experience but wish to keep Sense in close proximity, MoDaCo is something you’ll want to check out. Similarly, if you enjoy the trappings of HTC’s nicely improved Sense 5 interface on the One but wish to flit back to the serenity of stock Android, you can also do so with relative ease.

Given that the Switch package is provided without root, setting up this dual boot system is actually not all that difficult. If you do wish to get started with MoDaCo.Switch, all of the necessary instructions and tools are available over at the official page on the MoDaCo forums. All it requires is some time, and a pinch of patience.

If you do so happen to give MoDaCo.Switch a try on your HTC One, be sure to let us know how you get on by dropping a comment via the usual mediums below.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, MoDaCo does also intend to offer a similar app for the Samsung Galaxy S4, and if you wish to support the project, the group has a small Indiegogo project running looking to raise $1,500 in funding.
