    Default Center Parcs

Looking to book up in late September for a midweek break after we have been to see the wifes sisters baby once it pops out.

We are looking at 4 Adults and 1 dog, but the problem is trying to get a room with the Dog availability!!!
Take the dog out of it and plenty of rooms.

Have people been before (looking at Whinfell) and taken a dog when they never declared it? He is only a little thing and should go unnoticed.

I went to Whipsnade as a group of 8 mates, we stayed in the luxury lodge for a mid-week stay (only cost £150 each!!) and were left well alone. The only visits we had were by the cleaner who didn't report us for any of our breakages and the hot tub maintenance as apparently we 'contaminated' the tub. Didn't get in any trouble, we could easily have put an extra few people in our room too so I don't see a dog being a problem if you are sensible about where it is when the cleaners turn up.

    Thanks to evilsatan

If it is only a little dog you should be able to flush it down the bog in an emergency. Been to Whinfell, nice place.

Hahaha! He is well behaved unlike the Mother-In-Laws little toss bag.

worst case it is only 70 miles from 'Boro, someone could collect him and stay the night if it became an issue.

i use sherwood 1-2 times a year with our dog & never have a problem getting booked. not worth the risk as the have certain areas for dog owners & maids visit the lodges most days with towels & to clean with a list of who has dogs.

    All booked up at Whinfell.
Midweek working out at £100 for executive room.

Took the insurance incase we get let down. Was not happy about the £8 credit card fee though!

    Looking forward to it

The insurance is pretty shit, it covers illness when you have a letter from the doctor, if your house burns down and stuff like that but if you or one of your mates can't go for most other reasons you will get stung. I read through them and was shocked at how ridiculous the terms were so didn't pay for it. Executive should be nice, I want to try a treehouse but they start at £2500 for a midweek stay, split between 8 it's £300 each but does look amazing.

This is only £5 each. I doubt we will use it but just in case...

We are only going to eat out once, got plans to cook some epic meals and generally relax with a spot of working out.

The SNES is coming along for the ride too!

Been to whinfell a couple of times but much preferred the Sherwood Forest site, much nicer accommodation I found.

Big fan of Whinfell, try to get there at least once a year, next there in January for a weekend break after christmas. As someone said, the insurance is a joke....I know someone currently in dispute with them. He discovered he had a life threaten ing medical condition about 2 weeks before due to go, and had to have surgery straight away. The insurance company (who obviously aren't center parcs themselves, just some company they use) only paid out 50% of the money as they said he could have notified them slightly before when the biopsy was taken, and not waited till he was told he had to have surgery a week later. I believe he is still in dispute with them.

    Thanks to tronads

We go to elveden, been 5 times now and booked on for my birthday this January. It's great for relaxing and the kids love it. If you are sensible it doesn't have to be expensive.

    Thanks to lloydi
