Posting Rules - External Links?

Hi, Newbie here and I have already had a couple of posts deleted today due, I think, to posting external links, although I am not sure.

Is there a ban on posting external links on this site?

Also, how do I contact a member of staff to ask questions - it says in stickies if in doubt contact a staff member but I can't see any links, the welcome PM I received upon joining does not have a reply-to link, and when click on a Moderator username I am told I 'do not have permission to access this page'.

I have not posted any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

I understand the the owners of Digital Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason, however I was simply asking above whether there is a ban on posting external links on this site, and how to contact a member of staff.

Am I being unreasonable?

Just relax, threads/posts get deleted for any number of reasons often just to tidy up a thread when it has been taken off topic, we do not ban external links from being posted but some links considered advertising, affiliates or promotion will be deleted.

New members are unable to contact staff this will change for you after time if you stick around.

Staff have a busy time sorting out newbies that "POP" into DF and we have to look at what they are posting and decide on if they are a spammer/leecher. or no body making his post count go up. We don't often get people that simply want to gell with other DF members. it is the fault of countless hundreds of @ssoles that has made staff go the extra mile to keep DF free from all the forms of nasties we get on a hourly rate.
