Sssh! What happens in VIP stay's in VIP.
In all seriousness, the best thing about being a VIP is the fact that others who also contribute to the forum look after one another alot more than the regular members. If you find DF a valuable resource as a regular member, imagine the benefits of being a VIP member.
It's also nice when looking for something, posting a request in the VIP section gathers an instant team to help you look.
I was a VIP but since the no PayPal option I've not renewed, PayPal is the only thing on the internet that has my card details. A few years ago money came out my account illegally and as there was so many sites that had my details I couldn't say who was responsible. Now if there's money comes out I know only PayPal have my details.
As for the original post, there's an option for 1 months sub isn't there, at £4 or something?

Like Goldberg and others have said its worth it just for the knowing your helping the site and the assistance you get with being VIP, I spend more time refreshing my tapatalk then I do working nowadays.
No offence but saying you only have a MasterCard or what not you could always ask your bird/parents/boyfriend whatever to make the payment for you.
I've been using the forum quite a bit during the last year and have learnt quite a lot. For me the main reason I became a VIP was to contribute and say thanks. I enjoy using the forum even if it's just the banter. So for me it wasn't so much about what I got 'extra' by signing up but that has been a really nice bonus.

The Legal section alone is worth the £25, and fantastically moderated. Imagine how much you would be asked to cough up per hour just to 'chat' about your issue with a professional..

Anyway for me its no brainer you got legal, requests, a few access places for VIP onlys it pays for itself and i claim it back from taxman as an expense haha
OoooK,
Well Mr look at em and my good will! Good for you. !
Yes! I do recall using the Legal Eagel when it was a free section I must admit!
No, the cheaper options have been mentioned. Do you not read and make notes of the entire string before commenting?
Q
bored of this now.. unsubscribing this thread....
Getting this thread back on track and to answer the original question...
Would becoming a VIP be worth it for me?
That is for you to decide if parting with your hard earned cash to support a place you enjoy visiting, is worth supporting.
VIP is not just a subscription on here, its a status symbol and members who contribute are more valued and also have a 'closed' section of the forum to discuss certain things that would generally not be allowed on the open forum.
Simple.

I also do a lot for charity but don't like to talk about it :-)

Sheesh...
I can think of 2 good threads in the VIP area, that make it worthwhile. One of them I created, so maybe it isn't that good, and I am blowing my own trumpet. The other one is worth the £25 a year, for sure....!
Unfortunately.... They can't be shared with the open forum.
FFS this thread is pissing me off.
Lets be clear, VIPs recognise that this is a community that they want to be part of, so the subs are like a membership fee.
Mods also spend hours of their time managing the site and content, they do it all for free - they dont expect some reciprocal form of recognition.
Its about being part of the community, not to leech the content or 'to get your money's worth'.

When my VIP lapsed earlier this year I let it lapse for a while, partly because I didn't have £25 to spare. Really.
But after I'd got some cash in I renewed not because I really needed VIP section but like the others, I felt I owed df for all the help I've had over the years.

What has happened in this thread? QfanatiQ asked a simple and fair question, and very politely too. Not sure where some of the antagonistic replies have come from?
