Have you considered a mini PC such as a NUC or a ZOTAC Zbox which would be ideal also as a media PC but also team up as a low end gaming rig?

if you are on a budget.
this isnt a bad one, just done this for my son, has upto 4gb graphics on board, but he has a 550ti to put into it, i upgraded the psu as it only has a 250 watt in it. he plays alot of minecraft, cubeworld, dayz arma3, this runns it well with his 550ti.
so just add gfx card & O/S, £242 inc vat & delivery next day

Based on the fact that the OP was over 3 months ago and he hasn't replied since i'm guessing he's sorted it now.

Would be interested to see what he bought though.

.... eh? I would be interested where the heck this comes from? To my knowledge there is no game created yet that benefits from anything over 8GB??

    Specs for my PC:

Bear in mind that this is a custom build and is only really mid-range but can handle 80-90% of games out there.

    CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 630 2.8GHz
    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA770 UD3
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6770 2GB
RAM: 6GB (although only used with a x64 OS)
    PSU: 700W Thermaltake

All encased in an Xclio multi fan casing

Most demanding game I have (in terms of manufacturer recommended specs) is Need For Speed Rivals, although a good benchmark (if memory serves) is Crysis. If you can run Crysis at Ultra settings and get a good FPS...you're laughing

I bought all the above for less than £300 about 4 years ago (GPU upgraded last month) and it's still going strong

yep i found that out 2 month ago bought a cheap 700w power supply and could not find out why my PC was locking up all the time until it blew up and fried my boot drive
    i have a Coolermaster GM750M now
