For me the speccy was all about: Skool Daze, Jet Pac, Android, Turmoil and Kings Keep...

Kings Keep was amazing and educational.. thats how I know what a 'Lute' is !!!

Looking back I cannot think of a Spectrum Game other than Saboteur that I finished. I remember it came up with a screen saying well done, write to this address and you will get a free T-Shirt.
We just used to poke the hell out of games and I remember Strip Poker which was awesome back in the day, when you were 8...

    I finished a few.

but not many of my own merit. The magic knight series I battled ages with. I managed knight Tyme without the walkthrough but the other two I remember getting to a certain point and being baffled!

i remember mapping the whole of nonterraquos or something and sending to a magazine only to have someone else's version printed. I completed all the 3d style ultimate games and also sabrewulf.

the ones with the baby as well I think and a couple money moles.

I remember the "Mastertonic" range of budget titles and days on end spent on Elite - looking forward to the new version of Elite thats being made now (by the original author) Elite: Dangerous

I also recall typing away for about 6 hours entering some code in from a magazine and my dad walking in the room and tripping over the power cord and wiping it all out - I wept (I was only 11)

I remember having Sensi on the CD32.
They found a bug (which I never encountered) so they issued a recall/replace program - no online updates them days.

I sent the disc and £5 and they sent me Sensi World of Soccer in place! Was very happy and it was awesome, apart from the CD32 pad..

Watched the first part on the bike trainer this morning, really good stuff! Will watch the other two parts during the week on the bike. Passes the time nicely.

It all started with the ZX. My whole life has been written by that soft buttoned Spectrum.
For all the computers I have owned, I owned a copy of Elite.

I did something similar. 6 hours one night while my parents were asleep typing in a game listing for the vic 20. All in hex. Pages and pages of the stuff. Went to run it and it just came up with an error. Went through the listing line by line making sure every hex value was correct. Still it just errored. Checked it again then gave up. By then it was morning and I had missed a whole nights sleep.

Next month the magazine printed some typo corrections in last month's listing

Kids today don't know how good they have got it.

If nature always takes the easiest route, what's easier...?
The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?

Can we go really off topic & talk about how awesome microprose soccer was on the C64?
