Wii modification

Hi all,

Is there a failsafe mod for playing any backups on a wii now? I fancy getting one for the old mario games but don't want the hassle of having to avoid certain ones due to ondisc updates and stuff. It has been quite a while since i dipped me toe in the wii pool (snigger) so just wondered what advances have been made?

I don't have any at the mo! I was hoping there was a "one for all" type by now where I can just download whatever I like and play it without worry of bricking it

4.2 or below can be done with SD card and bannerbomb
4.3 needs needs letterbomb or retail game and exploit like batthaxx etc.

I personally start by updating the console to 4.3, then use modmii to get all files and a guide, once modified you can turn off wifi and disc updates using priiloader I also enable move disc channel (put it on page 3 of the system menu), I then install neogamma R8 for playing backups and put that where the original disc channel would be

I used this video guide i dont think i needed to use an original game ether. for 4.3

I am sure you can buy a pre-modded one as lots of people have them gathering dust.

Letterbomb the old girl it is pretty straight forward and just need an SD card and the internet, plenty of tutorials on that tube of you ;-)

Got one last week and bombed the shit out of it! Got an external hdd and using wiiflow am now chuffed with it. Spending some time enjoying Mario's company on the ones from the series I missed first time round.
