Hi all, I'm tommy and am new here, I have been on several other tech forums for a while but don't know why I never signed up to this one! I don't have much spare time just now due to an 18 month old but I often find myself in front of the PC late at night trying to get to the bottom of some technical issue or progress further with a project. I love TV series but hate most of the live TV programming these days, but I do love live sports, U.S. mostly, NFL, NBA, MLB, EPL, Open Championships, Ashes etc etc!

I have plans to upgrade my home server which will probably take a few years(!) and I like all things Gadgetty. I am likely to be here in fits and bursts rather than all the time so I hope that is not a problem. Usually I try to help people as it doesn't work very well when everyone just asks for help themselves all the time.
