Default Sony partners with European ISPs to deliver broadband service for PS4

At Gamescom this week, Sony announced that it will partner with several internet providers in Europe to deliver broadband service plans specifically suited for the PlayStation 4. Sony's forthcoming partnerships with Ono, Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin Media will ensure broadband speeds of up to 200 mbps specifically for gaming purposes. The PlayStation 4 boasts content streaming as one of its tentpole features, making speedy internet service crucial for the upcoming console. Virgin Media announced that it will offer PS4-optimized service plans in the UK following the console's launch in November.

Would have thought 200mbps a little excessive unless they are simply future proofing.. Think it's more about the ping and quality than speed.
Anything over 20mbps should do the job as long as it consistant imho

I would love to see Virgins pricing and capping policy on the 200mb service.

Agreed. Bet it means you have to upgrade to another tariff to get it and it will charge through the nose. I also agree that 30M (their minimum) is more than enough...
