    Photos Timelapse's from Italy

Just back from honeymoon in Italy, and took quite a few HDR's and timelapses from the various places I visited. Some of the timelapses suffer from flickering, but I think they turned out quite well. Remember to view in 720p mode for best viewing ;-)

The first timelapse shows just how busy the waters off the coast of the town of Amalfi are....

Another one from Amalfi, but this time a close up timelapse of the port itself... I love the cloud effects on the side of the mountain..

This next one is from Positano. A thick blanket of rain/fog appears about half way through..

This one is from the Pantheon in Rome, and shows the masses and hordes of tourists around it.

This next one is my favourite. All the above were shot in full manual mode, but this one was my first experiment using Aperture Priority. Sadly I never managed to capture more of the darkess at the end, as a massive rain storm hit just as it was getting dark.

    Fking SUPERB.

Really cool and effective time lapses. The one in Pantheon is very cool and love the clouds in the last.

for something close up like the 2nd and 4th timelapses i went for intervals of between 3-4 seconds.

The others I went for 5 seconds.

I took the following from this website: http://www.learntimelapse.com/time-l...apse-interval/

To give you a feel on where to start here are some common scenes with possible intervals:
1 second Moving traffic Fast moving clouds Drivelapses

1 – 3 seconds Sunsets Sunrises Slower moving clouds Crowds Moon and sun near horizon (or telephoto) Things photographed with a telephoto

15 – 30 seconds Moving shadows Sun across sky (no clouds) (wide) Stars (15 – 60 seconds)

Longer Fast growing plants (ex vines) (90 – 120 seconds) Construction projects (5min – 15min)

    great stuff mate
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

You have inspired me. I have bought a remote (£13 off Amazon) and going to have a go.
What software do you use to piece them together?

I use lightroom with the lrtimelapse plugin. http://lrtimelapse.com/

basically loads your raw files into lightroom, select slideshow, under template browser select which format you wish to export your timelapse in , and then hit export and let it process.

I still have to figure out how to effectively reduce light flickering but ill get there :-)

    Thanks to CallmeGoose

Once the video is created you should be able to post produce it to remove the flicker.
I used to work for a company - Digital Vision - and we had a de-flicker plugin.

Unfortunately it is professional software, costing upto £100,000 (depending on hardware etc..) and is not freely available. But saying that sometimes it appears where it shouldn't, one of my jobs was preventing it been there!
