Hmm it's looking good. I was actually really sceptical about this one. I get a bit sick of remakes / reboots but this looks pretty good. Having said that I think I need to watch the original again. It's been too long.

The advert for Total Recall reboot looked good but it was a turkey but will give it a go when out ;-)

Reboots/Sequels are popular as they are seen as less risk due to an established fan base.

Cant remember who said it but someone from Hollywood said it a few years back "that the recession years will be known as the reboot years" from the film industry point of view :-(

Pain & Gain is one recently, looked hilarious on the trailers.... I couldn't wait for it to end. Not a reboot but you get what I mean.

Meh, apparently it's a pg13 so it's going to be nowhere near as dark and violent as the original. Plus, a shitty car bomb vs a horrible torture sequence by intense characteristic baddies? Double meh.

The original was a Horror, same as Terminator 1.
Horror was different back then as it included just nasty fucking gore and not only bad language, scare the living shit out of you.

Now days with reclassification they would be action/thriller.

I have the criterion version on DVD, few extra seconds of gore and the likes.

That does look really good, I shall look forward to that. As said above though, the trailer for the Total Recall looked great too, and that film was rubbish.

From the trailer, Robocop did seem too human for my liking. What made the original so good was that the man was gone, and there was only a glimmer of his past self left.

Nice to see the Ed 209 make an appearance
