The 'MOREFUN' code on Funstock still works so got 10% off and I have ordered one to try it.

I think what I am going to do is to ditch the Retron 5 now... They have annoyed me.. I am probably going to grab something like an Ouya or if the Amazon Fire TV gets rooted then one of them to have emulators on.

The consoles/cartridges can go into the loft.

Great deal, also there's some other firmware that opens it right up. Could have scratched my retro itch for a lot less. Different things I suppose.

I ordered one too. I also ordered one for a mate, they charge £5.95 postage for each item though. Still came to less than £24.

I tried it with a neogeo x bundle, took the money off but then at the checkout it had 'stock issues'?? Took that as a sign.

One of the comments in Q&A says you don't need it with this version (the "sandbox" firmware).

Mine were delivered to my folks house I'll have a look at it later on.

OK, having a play and so far some issues.

Appears Super FX games do not want to play on the SNES (Part Expected I guess) and I am struggling with Mame Roms.

I did watch this video on youtube, but he is not correct in some of the stuff he says. For example Megadrive games work in 7z format...

As for Mame/NeoGeo I am testing now.

Where are you putting the roms? I had a look at what I expected to be the internal memory and there's not much there - it's also less capacity than I thought it should be. Just dug out an old SD card and will format that, then make folder structure as roms/mame and see how that goes

OK, I have found that Mame need to be in .zip format.
I dropped Cadillac & Dinosaurs into Mame, CPS1 and NeoGeo

Through the Arcade link I cannot enter coins... So I cannot play it.

Formatted an SD card, downloaded the stuff from here and put it on to the SD card.
Dropping the roms into the relevant folders.
There are folders missing, you can add them. For example 'Sega Mastersystem' will enable the Mastersystem emulator...

OK worked it out, Start + Select together insert coin.

There is also a combination that takes you back to the selection screen without resetting I think it is L Back, R Back and Start. Saves you resetting each time.

The Mame emulator sound is shocking.. Need to know how he gets it working good with the NEOGEO emulator..

Will play more tomorrow.

One final thing, not checked to see if Save States yet.. I doubt it but there might be a hidden menu like pressing select on the rom screen gives you the buttons for some roms

OK I've had a bit of a look. I can't get the "sandbox" mode to work on mine. I have put some roms in the folders that match the default emulators list, basically mame doesn't work that well (the sound, as said). However, snes works quite well except for rotation games (Mario kart). It's not just a mode 7 thing either because the de-res effect works fine on super Mario world.
