    Default Cleaning your camera?

I shot an event today called Born Survivor, a tough mudder/guy type obstacle course.

This was my obstacle to shoot

and after 2 waves about 170 in each my camera ane myself were getting a little dirty, I had a cloth to wipe crap away but it was getting pretty dirty so I gave up, wave 3 this was the how things were looking.

    and after 7 waves

Never mind the state of me, I was covered top to toe in crap yes the field is normally home to cows so the description could be quite close. so how would you clean yours? I have a tri to shoot in the morning anyone any idea where I could borrow a camera from?
My method probably wasn't the best.

but it is nice and clean again.

It was there for a very short time, cleaned by hand.

Nice lens? yeah its not bad but pining for the mk2 especially after having a play with one there is a difference in image quality but I recon about £500-600 cost to upgrade after selling this one could be spent elsewhere. The new lens hood is annoying I prefer the twist and lock producing a smooth surface no button to get caught on stuff that is on the new one. the lens is spotless (again now) but the lens hood is marked as I use it to protect the lens.
