Fifa14 coins?

Guys, a little help please? I genuinely have not got a clue how this works, I play no games but got my son Fifa14 and he asked if I can get him some coins so he can buy players.
How does this work? If I get him those gift card things, will he be able to use that?

You need to either buy coins from a trustworthy seller, or buying him some fifa points which he can buy gold packs with for Ultimate Team mode.

It can get rather expensive........I should know I play UT.

For a cheaper version you can have him play seasons mode which is online versus where you dont need to transfer players etc.

Thanks Tigro, not much of this makes any sense to me, but at least I have a bit of an inking!
He seems to play Ultimate Team (UT?) and something online but I don't know if these are one and the same. I reckon I'll just get him a Playstation card thing now and then, and just leace him to it. There's only so much a forty-odd year old can absorb in terms of information!
