Yeah, so if anyone is intending getting one, get it now before the new ones are released.

The new one is much better apart from the screen, I'm hoping it'll be out soon

Doesn't it use normal sd cards instead of these expensive sony versions.

The Vita Slim might be a bit better but sure the price wont be £129 with 2 games and 8GB Card ;-)

Don't think that's right unless I've missed an something? The slim has 1gb of internal storage, and can be charged via micro usb, but sure it still uses the propitiatory memory cards. They announced 64gb ones and a price cut at the same time as the Vita Slim announcement.

You can charge via usb anyway, but using the cable that came with it. The change just means you can use a standard cable.

    Thanks to kjun

Something in the back of my mind said it wouldn't charge via Usb connected to a computer but I must be thinking of something else.

I think you have to enable it in the settings, it might not do it by default.

You can charge by USB from a computer but you have to turn the Vita off, otherwise it doesn't charge.

No problem, you're likely correct, I probably miss read the new specs, I still reckon ill hold on though.

All these recent deals sound like they're shifting the stock in advance of the new ones release.

I made a post a while ago - argos were doing a great deal. Not sure if it's still going.
