    Default need new tv

any help on where can get a decent 60 inch tv from.
Im looking for a samsung so i can connect from my phone etc.
Went to few shops but for a 60 inch im looking at over 2000.
Seen a 60 inch plasma for 949 but it seems like the old model.

Any ideas where to get one from at a decent price.

Has to be 60 as the tv im upgrading from is a 47 inch.(smart tv and 3d)

budget for a decent model spec etc is 1500.

This doesn't answer your question but from what I see you often get what you pay for. Saw a cheap Samsung on the Argos site the other day. Then I noticed the 50 hz refresh rate so it is unlikely to cope with fast moving action very well. If you see what seems to be a very good deal, make sure you check the spec. (">

Best to pick the tv and then hunt around for prices. Generally speaking I have always preferred panasonic for plasma, I believe they now use the pioneer kuro technology in their higher end TVs and £1500 is a good budget, not sure about 60" but should be achievable now panel prices are cheaper. Samsung are good for led and LCD but if you are going for big screen and there won't be static images on there the id personally go plasma, although I hear LCD has come on leaps and bounds with blacks now.

Samsungs are nice. I work.with tvs but we only sell high end models. To be honest if you are getting a 60" you may want to.shell out a bit more.
i think panasonic do 60" in led

If you can stretch to it the Panasonic TH-152UX1W 152 Inch 4K2K Plasma is a decent tv, Costco have it on sale for £599,999.89

If it was me buying, I'd just look at a 60" Panasonic Plasma, although I have no idea on prices.
I bought a 50" panny this year after owning a 42" model for about 6 years.

Why not hang on 7 or 8 weeks when the deals kick in?

Yeah, I was looking at these. I wanted two. But when I learned you could not connect them for wide screen experience I just went with a Sony 37" instead.

I normally adopt the opposite approach and see what my money can get me. But, if you are keen on certain spec and brand, this is a good way. I amy adopt this next time. May turn out worth saving a little extra if I find one above my range.

it really is all down to preference, but i like the samsung smart tv's. however at that size, you do need to make sure you have a good processing rate - probably 400Hz is a minimum spec. I've had a quick look around LG 60LA740V Smart 3D 60" LED TV looks good for the budget, however i havent seen the tv in person

I would recommend Samsung (Series 8) but if you are about to throw a load of money towards a TV right now, I would go for a 4k resolution Ultra HD TV to future proof yourself.
