its still needing it to boot?
its still needing it to boot?
Yeah, needs USB to boot, just hangs trying then resorts to win 8 after about 20 seconds, It won't boot windows with the USB in when I select my win8 hdd it just comes back to USB boot selection ? It would be nice if it booted natively but it's not a big issue ATM, was thinking of grabbing a gigabyte board so I can use a mac bios
it should work native without the usb as it is, yeah mine is a gigabyte board but I made one for a mate with an asus mobo, I will hold my hands up and say I don't think I read everything at the start of this thread because I've made the assumption that you installed it as the only OS, I know this is going to sound obvious but did you select the new osx drive as the primary boot drive in the bios?

Thanks mate, I'm back and fully sober and relaxed
I had a strange issue on my return, sound would work for about 5 seconds then silence, had to run multibeast from scratch to get it to stay on... strange one, I will remove my other (windows) drives later ad see if thathelps it to boot, other than that it's working like a charm, might stick it on my youngest intel rig that I built for her for christmas, shame I built an AMD rig my eldest the year before, might still give it a bash
It's not as easy but it's still possible on an amd powered machine, weirdly though I've had the same issue with sound.
