Attention Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro (Lifetime license) approx. £9.30

There is a new virus that encrypts user data (see here), according to MBAM the pro version protects against infection (see here).

MBAM Pro is usually £20-25 for a license but following this link you can get it for less than half of the usual cost.

    Go here:
    https://store.malwarebytes.org/342/purl-winzip

Change currency in top right to US Dollar, $14.95 is about £9.30.

It's a good app to run regardless but as there are no methods to decrypt the data without paying the ransom it's best to be proactive and this won't get in the way as much as a bulletproof firewall.

I'm on the phone at the mo so I can't check properly, I wondered how many computers you can put it on per £9.30? If it's two or more then I'm in.

Price is per machine but lifetime license. Tbh for under a tenner you can't go wrong, I owe them more than that for the amount of free scans I have ran over the years.

    This is a bit strange.

Where can you get it from, as in the male ware? Friend has a spare machine and wants to explore how this effects things, files, network, permissions etc.

I dont want to get anywhere near it myself because I am scared. But info to pass on if anyone can oblige.

    Cheers.....Q

New ransomware comes out and Malware Pro half price at the same time - Coincidence?

Sure most AV/windows will have a patch/update out for this shortly

Oooops posted in wrong thread meant to put in the Cryptolocker one :-(
