Default iOS7 and downloading apps over 3g

This could be a GiffGaff issue... maybe not..
I need to confirm if it is the same on Wifi also but it is 100% repeatable on 3G

I goto the App store, search and download an app. I enter my password and it starts to download. Then it comes up with 'Unable to complete purchase'.
I havbe to then close the App Store (double tap, swipe up to kill it) then open and download again. It then advises me I have already purchased said app and it then downloads.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

not experiencing that issue but i am guessing what you are trying to download is too large a file to take down over 3G so the initial part of the download has been done and when you get hooked up to wifi your download will actually commence so until then you trying to re-download it wont make a difference because your device has it queued up and ready to complete the download/install

These apps are tiny. Plus the iOS 7 update upped the 3G limit to 100mb

Not had this problem. I've download apps over 3G on my 5S a few times. I'm on Vodafone though. Have you checked Giff Gaff's forums? http://community.giffgaff.com/

What's web browsing and other data services like on giffgaff atm? My Three contract is up soon and I was considering going back to giffgaff.

When you get 3G it is fine. There is talk of 4G later this year, beginning of next but no pricing.

I have a feeling next year will be tough for Giffgaff. Tesco and the likes are already rolling out 4G on competitive plans. GiffGaff only has so many followers because they offer £5 for a referral but when the prices rise and they fall behind it will probably be time to move on.

They do have the backing of Telefonica though (O2 Parent Company) and I have read that they are considering selling hand sets from next year too.

For now though I would jump onboard. It is only a 30 day contract so you can always jump off again as and when.
