    Advice 250 to 12volts

I have a Technika 19" tv dvd combo which continually shows "NO DISC". I have tried a disc cleaner to no effect. What else can I try?
Also if I do get it working again I would like to know if it is possible to convert this machine to 12v operation for use in my motorhome. I know very little about tv's but have some out of date electrical experience ( see my introduction earlier today) Cheers Brian

inverters for cars, vans, motorhomes are cheap now and are perfect for tv,s and laptops.

the prices go up the more wattage you need but bigger ones run more power hungry devices.

If you can operate it internally. I recommend to you to disconnect the disc unit of the combo and see if the error is still there. You may have just a faulty disc unit

Also, about getting rid of the PSU once disc issue is repaired. You may have to check what DC voltage your model is using and then I recommend to a DC/DC step down converter with a fuse for protection. This unit could be helpful for testing.
