    Default Easy Jet Algorithm

I am looking at booking flights next year for December 5th to Berlin, on the website the max is September 5th. To rest the traffic I put in the flight dates from Friday to Sunday and it was £119.

I then shut down and went into private browsing and did it again but for 26 people (Which I what I need) this time the price for exactly the same flight had gone up to £158.

Absolute robbing cunts, is it the best thing that when I'm ready to book I just go on and buy them all in one go? As as soon as ten people to do, the price will go up for the remainder!

Easy Jet won't assist unless it's over 40 seats!

    Anyone any experience?

Are they robbing cunts? Seems like a first come first served on the best prices, it just doesn't happen to suit your needs this time.

If they were not robbing cunts, why would they increase their ticket prices when they detect a traffic increase for a particular date search?

Shouldn't they offer all the seats (ex premiums) at the same price all day, and if they want to make it cheaper/expensive as they move closer/further from the date then so do, but don't increase it on the back of traffic, that's a cunts trick.

Set a matrix and use it I say.

This is perfectly standard. On any given flight the first few seats are the cheapest and as the flight fills up the ticket price becomes more expensive until the last handful of passengers are paying top whack (several times more than those early birds).

So when you ask for 26 seats it applies this formula, creates a total price and then divides it by 26 (which is why collectively you're paying more per passenger than if you only wanted one single seat). I use Easyjet all the time from Switzerland to London and know their ins and outs pretty well.

While Easyjet are the best of the low cost carriers. I would rather eat my own sick than fly with them.

As has been said , all the LCC's work on the principle of the first x number of seats being the first (lowest) price , the next x are a price band higher etc,,Booking that number of seats you've triggered the next price band.

For that number of people I'd seriously look at group booking a scheduled airline. BA only need 9 or more people travelling to qualify for there group booking schemes which means you only pay 10% deposit and the rest weeks before departure.

    Thanks to Basset

No way around it because the price will go up with every seat booked. Better off using skyscanner anyway to see if Easyjet really are the cheapest

There's not many direct routes. Sleazyjet fly from Manchester and Liverpool but most other airlines seem to require a stop.

Random dates for October next year currently has germanwings coming in the cheapest via skyscanner.

You could try Lufthansa's group booking quote form - http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...en&cid=1000243

BA seem to be quite pricey but you can get a quote from them here http://www.britishairways.com/en-us/...n/group-travel

I also noticed that the Flight Centre (travel agent) has a group booking section http://www.flightcentre.co.uk/flights/group-travel

BUt sleazyjet were the only airline to fly direct.

I can see it two ways: Easyjet's side seems to be the law of supply and demand being applied very well.

While on your side it's a bit of a cunt that you've possibly got the ticket price, told your mates it, then tried to book them all and instead of getting a bulk discount as is normal in the world, you get shafted for doing them a load of business. Even worse, when you tell your mates about the increased cost you know some fucker will be suspecting you of putting a drink on it.

I've had similar before when bulk booking, people started to murmur a rip off and skim from me so I told them all to do it themselves and if they aren't at the other end on the day, it's their fucking problem. Boils my piss when you go out your way to help people and they smell a rat that isn't there.
