    Default Vacuum Cleaners

    From owners.

Had a Vax for 7 years, and need something new new. Wanting bagless and if poss lifetime filters etc.

Live in a fairly small apartment, so doesn't need to be huge.

Any recommendations? Got about £250 to spend. I must admit like the look of those Dysons the pull along ones like DC what the fuck ever.

I had a Miele years ago and it was ok, personally I don't think you can beat a Dyson but they do cost a fair bit for the privilege.

I've had a Henry for years and swear by it.
Nothing even comes close, especially a Dyson!
Dyson just moans and bitch every five minutes about it's rotating brushes being clogged up or all the 'technology cyclone shit' it boasts to have that is completely useless after the first use.

Henry WILL outlive your shiny new Dyson.

Used in industrial situation (hovering up plaster and cement without the bag in - I used to use them on-site back in the day) and everyday use with the bag in.
10 Bags for £6.99 at my local market and last a year easy.

At around £99 you can't go wrong!

You sound like your talking about the old Dysons, my old Dyson I remember had that issue but the newer one's seem fine.

I have no doubt Henry's are good as everyone seems to rave about them but from my experience when I worked in an office and wanted to clear something up that was spilt......it was not that good, I found it was pretty ordinary tbh.

But that opinion is based on one machine that could have been years old and needed filters cleaning etc.

For the money a Henry would probably suit more what he needs.

Yes cost more but our dyson is 6 years old used daily and never misses a beat.

Panasonic actually do some good bag less ones - I have the 594 Eco Max I think it is and they're good, it's better than my previous Dyson and was about £135!

It's a big old thing - I just wish the mrs could suck as hard as this thing does!

Dyson were also doing a trade in just now on old hoovers.
They do it all the time.
Give you £100 off the cost of a brand new dyson.
Doesn't mater the condition etc just take it along to a participating dealer and they do the rest.

Dyson user for many years, have a 7 year old upright animal jobby STILL going strong and recently got one of the lightweight digital battery type which has proved to be a really useful add on, hardly ever use the mains one now TBH.
