it works! connects easily to my router and appears to be working flawlessly!

Presume this is USB? So you then lose the ability to record whilst connected.

Lost me mate, I do a lot of recording on mine via the USB to an external HD. I know nothing of these dongles, but expected them to obviously use the USB port on the F5s, thus meaning whilst it's connected via Wifi, you can't use an External recorder?
