How easy is it to install firmware updated? I was pretty aprehensive when I first had to install the Channel list and also the N Lines etc, but pretty happy with that now. Is this much harder?

It's the same process as adding the channel list.

Do you require a USB device to use the new epg as it says it downloads the info and the menu setting has a XMLTC Setting option and when selected says no storage device connected.

This is probably the downside to using Wifi!

Yes you do, same with the new picons feature. I've tried the firmware and it just slows the box down.

as I mentioned in a previous thread/post the new firmware with 7 day epg is crap and causing a lot of problems, its really not worth doing yet until they bring out a skybox with proper wifi and internal hard drive or at least an sd card support

detector: any news regarding epg you have been working on. i would rather trust the updates from yourself than the official skybox ones. they do seem to be causing problems. thanks

not yet m8, it was pretty unstable tbh and did not always work, we also had to remove youtube and the porn to fit it on

cheers detector. must admit youtube and porn would't be a miss as i've never used the apps. will just wait and hope. half the channels on the box would'n be a miss either to be honest. couldn't it be overwritten on one of the channels. i know fa regarding teccy stuff , so my last statement might give you a laugh!!!! thanks again dec
