    Default mobile phone locator?

    Hey all,
Mrs has lost / stolen her phone Fortunately not overly expensive, but has loads of photos, numbers on etc.

I have installed Plan B - nothing, i have tried free trials on mobile locators but all seem to need authorisation from the handset - kind of defeats the purpose but hey ho!

I have tried calling it and it rings, so still battery life.

    Any ideas?!

    ETA: Android

As far as I know if you've already lost it then it's too late - I use lookout for all my Android devices

Not sure if i can give links because im new, but if you have a gmail account for the android, google search "maps location history" and once you sign in with your gmail account it gives you the location of where the phone has been day by day, https: //maps.google. com /locationhistory ,Hope this helps

9 Thanks given to cpt pewpew

Agree with this, showed my Mrs this and it was a bit of a shock to find that last week she went to a hotel and spent the afternoon there - so this morning was fun for us - well it was for me as she spent the morning pleading her innocence and trying to phone google to bollock them.

Fortunately i know she was at work and was then giving blood with her mum (or was she??????????????????!!!!!)

It actually shows me repeatedly visiting The Salvation Army about 5 miles away....even if I had wanted to ( yeah right ) my car has been off the road for a couple of weeks and I don't do Public Transport.... It really was someone else's life. The more I think about it the more worried I get.....this is all tied to my gmail Account?

Why not? you don't believe all that shite about mobile phones in Hospitals do you? the only equipment likely to be affected (virtually none) can be shielded or kept in shielded rooms. . . .

Ive seen a cardiac consultant place his mobile on a hear monitor and call it, it did nothing because of the shielding. He did say he was in a position to help the person if it caused problems though

I work in IT in a new build hospital. In most places the phone signal is very weak and most of the time its non-existent. Not a design feature more how big the hospital is!
I have my iphone on in all areas even ICU and operating theatres as it connects to the wifi so I can view calls etc..
Patients are allowed to have their phones on but again in some places they can not make call due to no signal.
