    Default New Tv

Looking to buy a 50 to 55inch tv, its been ages since I bought a TV my Samsung is 8years old now and starting go, HDMI ports and sound are iffy now, budget of around 1200, not bothered about 3d or smart features all about the picture quality. It used to be plasma was the way to go for larger screens, I've had a google around but a lot of the sites I've found arent great, any pointers where to look info wise? any recommended models or brands to avoid?

    Cheers

still plasma imo, grab a panasonic while you can, as I believe they will stop producing them soon.

    Bought this last week.
    LOVE IT.

Down by £400 so couldn't go wrong. Great TV. Comes with all the LG Mods cons like Wii style Magic Remote etc.

Smart, Wireless, 3D, LED, 400hz, etc, etc.

Plasma's picture quality at this size is shit compared with LED.

If you can still find a new one get a Samsung d8000 plasma outstanding TV for the money or any Panasonic plasma from a 30 series panel onwards

    Do you work at Currys?

In no way, shape or form will a top quality LED backlit screen compare against a top quality plasma screen.

All so don't be fooled by the energy savings from an led TV you will never get the money back from the electricity saved spending more on an led over a plasma

Well done ignoring my previous comment on reading the private message you received when joining and carrying on post count spamming, when you reach 9 posts it will give you a message saying you have reached the limit and then one of the staff will pop along ban you and then add all your posts the the post count spam thread with all the others.
