I currently live in an apartment with single feed sky on a communal dish.
I have the single feed coming into the lounge via a faceplate, which currently goes into a Skybox F5, this in turn has a Loop Out into a SkyHD box on a £20 a month package. The F5 and the Skybox are both connected to the router which sits next to it.
Currently I use the Scart Out on the Skybox into an AV sender 5.5GHZ to send signal to the bedroom, where we have a AV Receiver. This allows us to watch Sky and change the Channel via the sender/receiver. It's good but it's not HD and often interrupted by movement in the lounge (has to go through an En Suite room too)
Would it be possible to use the RF Out on the Skybox to run Sat cable from the lounge into the bedroom, which could go into another Skybox in the bedroom?
Or would the RF out only use the signal from the Box in SD and I'd still need an optical port (like Magic eye etc) to change the channels?
I'm basically trying to get a HD Sky feed into the back bedroom and run a second HD Skybox, but understand that we may have to turn off the F5 box and the Sky HD box in the lounge for the feed to become active in the bedroom.
Having a second dish, or changing the LNB isn't an option, I've already asked the and the estate owners have refused this.
Thanks in advance.
