    Default Forum errors

Getting quite a few errors when I click first thread links at the bottom of threads.

This may be because of the server upgrade and the current VB does not support PHP 5.4 but works on with 5.3.

    Just a thought.

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2777

    Thanks to Realist

I can only see it happening in one particular thread in P&T at the moment. Does it if you go to straight to Page 3 too.

He must have 5.4 php version as VB 4.2.0 does not support it although 4.2.2 does there are still a couple of fixes needed.

    Hello guys,

Indeed php 5.4 is the issue, thanks for pointing this error out as it does not show in our error logs (vb swallows it)

We will be upgrading the forum to vb 4.2.2 tonight.

    Sorry for the issues,
The new kid on the block (but not really),
    Juvenal

    3 Thanks given to Juvenal

The update seems to have gone smoothly, but who knows what errors will crop up as users explore.

Please post any issues you find here and I will take care of them.

    Thanks to Juvenal

Do you have different DNS settings on your laptop?

You are most likely being directed to the old forum still. Can you open a cmd and paste the result of the following.

    Code:
    nslookup digital-forums.com
    Do that from your laptop.

I am willing to bet its a DNS issue, and will resolve itself soon.
Worst case you can nslookup from your desktop and make a hosts entry with the correct IP on your laptop.

    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Also check that file for entries, maybe its possible you have a hosts entry from last time the forum moved?

    Thanks to Juvenal

Can't paste it because I can't get in the forum on there but the ip addy it's directing too is

    non authoritative answer
    name digital-forums.com
    address 178.32.89.237

edit: was the hosts file. Took the other ip direct out and now it's working. Thanks
