I'm more interested to see if it'll get an install for the XBone (unlikely).

yeah now tv is lte this was 4 the roku 2 and 3
same guys are hinting they can put rokiu lte firmware on now tvs
coming "soon"

The roku (and NowTV box) will never be able to run XBMC. They do not have the processor or ram to cope. Plex works as it uses a plex "server" to do the hard work of transcoding.

Hacking a roku is almost pointless other than to block updates, change servers or customise things. It wont be able to do somehting it can't do.

Raspberry Pi's can just about run XBMC to a suitable level.

Any reason you want the roku in particular? A second hand Apple TV with a Broadcom crystal hd card will do pretty much whatever you need (I guess).
