    Default Pop up ads.

Calling for help from you knowledgeable chaps again. My son's laptop has started getting a good number of pop up ads. One just by clicking on "start a new thread" for this! Some are from "adcash" and one which is staying around is a small window which has "NP COMPUTER TECHNICIANS" at the top. The latter has a cross in the corner to close as well as a minimize, but looking at how the cursor reacts I suspect they both mean opening a new page. I have installed Malware and have bought Panda (from groupon) anti virus. I ran full scans from both but it only really gave fewer pop ups, the number has increased again now.
Do you have any suggestions to stop these? I looked at his history etc. and don't suspect porn (yet!) as a source.

Edit; Just clicking on "edit" opened anew page with more shitty ad stuff. Going on google brought a pop up which came from the lower part of the screen.

Look in the installed programs list, sort by date installed and see if you can remove stuff like ilivid, mysearchdial, yontoo AMD other stuff like that. Then open your web browsers and go to the add-ons/extensions section, remove all the ones you don't use.

    Thanks to evilsatan

Just a quick update, I took all the advice above (got a bit lost with Mr Satans advice but got there in the end!) and thus far no problems at all. Many thanks gents, hopefully that's over until he discovers porn....

Personally I use this as it blocks most of the shit so no need to remove it
