Help needed

ive bought a couple of tomtom one's, most would not power and ive fixed a couple relatively easy but they did not come with any memory cards so they don't have the ttgo.bif and navigator files on with the device code.
is there any way whatsoever to recover it or would I have to buy a map from tomtom to fix this. ive put a tomtom spare memory card in it but its saying nomaps found. I just wondered if there would be any way to recover it or flash over with a working system?

Just start up tomtom home and let it do a system update. there should already be maps on the things..then hck the bloody things and put a better map on them.

ive done that, but will not let me do anything because I don't have the original ttgo.bif and ttnavigator.bif files m8

btw, I restored the device using tomtom home, then I tried copying the latest maps and tried running alberts installer but that will not run as I don't have the 2 files mentioned

use bb tools and connect your tomtom one let it see it and then it will create your bif file for you mate then put your map on and patch it

After updating or restoring using tomtom home, disconnect from PC & then start up your tomtom, then it should create the ttgo.bif file. Then you can patch / activate it, make sure you are using a suitable map version number for the version of navcore you've got.

yes m8, got it working by restarting the tomtom a few times then activating. all working now thank you guys.
