Macbook Pro not booting :(

Hi guys

Daughters macbook pro 2008 model decided not to boot today, when the power button is pressed you can feel the cdrom and hear the fans start bu nothing on screen then shuts down after a few seconds.
Tried reseating the ram but nothing, anyone had this issue before?

Sounds like it could be the gpu, was common on 06-09 macs.

If you don't hear any startup chime when resetting the PRAM, then it's almost certainly a fault with the logic board.

Also worth resetting SMC. Had to do it a few times on one I had about a year ago and that made it spring back to like.
