    TV xbmc istream

Just a heads up, this plug in is gonna be big. Check it out by opening xbmc , adding source http://xinfinity.xunitytalk.com in file manager then go to infinity and you will see istream zip. Biggest thing to happen to xbmc for a long time, making it very easy to use. Was struggling with raspberry pi and vpn etc for 1 channel, but this very similar to one channel but bigger and better. Try it out, you wont be using add ons or repo's any more.

    Thanks to hutch

I've tried it seems decent but a bit flakey at present, the usual addons are better imo

I wasnt too impressed with it and the guys who are making these addons over at xunitytalk come across as being in it for the money which I think will be there downfall..

    Vague post.

    Let me elaborate -

iStream is going to be a great addition for XBMC, but at the moment, it's a work in progress.
It's main goal is to get all the 'usual' apps altogether in one place and create a huge database of streaming sources as well as XBMC customisations.

and a New Yorker version (made me laugh so posted)...

You install a modified skin and it's part of the menu bar or you can run it like a regular add on, mash up and 1channel will take some beating, still the main ones I use for TV shows

You can run both. They are just repositories for the add-ons.

there was trouble back when the talk devs left the hub. Xfinity was changing fusion apps (as they claimed they were theirs).

I think mash may have recently left to start up with one of his VIP playlist owners.

Yes sorry for vague post, was just a heads up for people to research and make their own minds up. 1 channel is the best in my opinion but if in uk you need a proxy/vpn workaround etc.

Try any add on in uk and see if you can get all 11 seasons worth of say QI., 1 channel will but is blocked, unless you want the aggro of finding a solution. istream searches all the add ons including 1 channel (primewire) etc and finds them. Adverts have not seen any but sure they are there or coming, but hey you tube/tv catch up has adverts, all good free professional stuff will.

Yes i do think they are in it to sell little plug and play black box's, but biggest bonus for me is works on my 2 pi's so can upnp off my main computer and use pi's as servers and also stream anything i want to watch.

If i want to download and watch something in 720/1080p i will use usenet and nzb, untill the time comes when istream is more hd than sd (gonna be a while)

Downloaded it, doesn't seem too bad.

Easy for the missus to pick a film. Another option so happy to try it.

    Good cheap "proxy" for 1channel
If you have web hosting plan then buy yourself a domain for as little as £1.50 for the year. Then do this
    Download This
1: Upload the two files you downloaded to /public_html of your domain or sub domain

    2: Delete .htaccess

3: Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess ( htaccess has a . (dot) at the start )

    4: Try your website

5: If all went well you should be on primewire.ag

6: Go to 1channel addon settings

    7: Change Domain to primewire.ag

    8: Click Enable Custom Domain

9: Push Down to Custom Domain and enter your website ( Make sure you put in the http:// )

    10: Click ok

Enjoy 1Ch as it was before the block

Yes that's true they split into 2 groups/forums, mash has left for a project with hackermil which is a great partner ship they developed an android tv box called hackedtv pretty expensive tho 300 dollars lol but unlimited updates and support, but you can add mash on his new site and still get hackermil sources

The new version of mash up with "super search" seems pretty decent - to be honest Im not impressed with the guys over at Xunity as i still think they are just in it to try and get rich quick, weird how when Mash Up was part of the Xunity forum the links in his livestreams section to the Bein/AJ sports weirdly stopped working and the only reliable way to get them was to pay to use the website owners payserver (tvstreambox) and now as soon as hes set up on his own (Mash) they are all fully working again for free.. maybe Im wrong but it just seemed fishy and if they are disabling sources to push users towards payservers that they have a financial interest in then its all wrong - at the end of the day XBMC is free software.

Super search should just replace normal search. Your always going to want the best search.

Is this not the same as what mashup is doing ? Is it not his (teams) aim to get people to sign up to the VIP list for $100 per year ? TBH I dont think any of them are covering themselves in glory....and advertising a website where you openly admit that you are streaming copyrighted content and you are then charging for that content....wow I can only see ALL of them regretting their naivety further down the line. Especially as they are all quite happy to bitch and backstab each other.....They are all harming XBMC and what it stands/stood for. This all started with XBMCHUB and that was pretty good/handy/convenient for a while....until people saw the $$$$ potential.

    Thanks to DavidF

I only use the repos off xbmchub all is free on there football from acestream app p2pstreams no charge
As for xunity only after advertising and donations or a charge for footy
Mashup more subtle than xunity but still as said above after donations
