SteamOS Beta - thoughts? I've got XBMC running on it too...

Anyone else had a play with SteamOS?

I had to hack about the USB installation with SYSLINUX, but got it going...

Was well impressed tbh..and my PS3 controller worked lovely...

There's no streaming or stuff apart from the client at the moment, but I had to try XBMC...found the instructions at http://www.kf5rsx.com/experiments-wi...amos-and-xbmc/

Bit of fettling, got it going...def gonna consider this for my HTPC when it goes non-beta.

I've been meaning to have a look at this but haven't had any free time to have a mess. I'll probably hold off until the streaming is integrated but I like the idea of having XBMC on it.

I had a quick look months ago. Around Januray February. But the games at that point supported on steamOS have been disappointing. I love race games and driving simulators. But not much there to test. I have not been playing around lately so someone could tell me how it is these days. Is there more variaty in games available. Especially Racing and Driving Simulators?
