N64 Passport plus 3

Managed to grab one of these at a cheap price with a boxed version of Pilotwings (Jap) on eBay.

I know that unless you have a certain French model of the N64, any region modding does not really work. I also know that the Passport Plus 3 is limited with some games not happy with it at all.

However that aside, has anyone used one before? Does it work OK regardless?

I do have a PAL and NTSC machine, but I just cannot help grabbing a bargain!

I looked at them briefly, but it seemed like a pain in the ass. If you're going to use it you need to make sure you use one of the recommended games, so it doesn't overwrite your game saves and such...

I bought a jap console, did the basic hack so it will play USA games as well, and then just replaced my one PAL game with an NTSC copy. Now I just buy US and Jap carts. The 50/60hz makes a real difference as well, so you're getting superior versions of most games.

Yeah got both consoles (PAL/NTSC) I just saw this for a silly price with a game so thought I would grab it for resale value in the future
Will have a play with it as it has Action Replay built in which could be a laugh, the SNES one is.
