      Newbie newbi

      Hi everyone,
      I am a totall novice when it comes to satellite receivers but hopefully I can gain some usefull knowledge and can learn how to use these things to there full potential,
      I could do with some advice.
      Currently I have a problem with my skybox F5s.
      The problem is that after updating the latest channel list abd rebooying the system, the skybox won't work. When connecting the power cable the LED display shows LoAd and doesn't show anything on the tv.
      I've been told that this is because the box is bricked?????
      Any advice on how to recover the box would be greatly appreciated.
      I have tried erom upgrade using USB to RS232 Cable. But this hasn't worked.
      I'm not really sure that I was doing the upgrade right.
