That looks much more natural, but it is down to your comfort too. As Bert said, your brakes will feel better in the 4/5 o'clock position if you're sat higher. Give it a try and make adjustments as necessary. Keep the toe clip straps loose to start with until you get in to the habit of pulling your foot out.

I would also pull the levers in a little more inboard, with discs you should only need to pull them with your index finger. Will take a shot of mine after.

Yeah your nifty little "lock out" feature is on most and in fact usually mounted on the handlebars now ;-)

OK just did a twelve mile rode. Seat and brake positions a lot better! Felt more in control of the bike and enjoyed it more.

Seat still a bitch and my arse feelslike is been through a wood chipper. Took a look at a gel seat and some padded shorts in my local cycle shop and I think that's the way forward.

I did the same thing but waiting for oncoming traffic before I turned right.
I shit you not, a huge wagon's wheel was about 1 foot away from my head...

I now take my foot out of the strap now every time I am on the road.. Was my first time out with them..
    We all make mistakes sometimes

26" mate, the new Fives are 650s but this one is older.
Is the On-One a Fatty? I have just bought a few bits from them this week as they had a Price Drop promo running, I bought a new Reverb on the first day of the drop (so as not to miss out) and the cunts still haven't dispatched it 4 days later.

Forgive my ignorance, it's been a while since I've been out on a bike, what are 650s?

Wheel size. 650 is somewhere inbetwren 26 and 29 inch. Some manufacturers have dropped 26 now and are focussing on 27.5 or 650b as they are known.

Ah ok. Back when I was riding 26inch wheels and 29ers were available. I assume 27.5 inch is just a happy medium.

Lol. The public are so damn lucky u aren't navigating a F14A Tomcat like the Goose in your avatar. Swearing in front of the children would be the least of anyone's worries. (">

Oooooo YT. Nice piece of kit mate. Should be a nice ride. Funnily enough I bought a new frame and some forks this week as well. Went for a Yeti SB75 frame and some BOS Decille forks. Need to sort some 650 wheels out now.

    Thanks to BertRoot

I know nothing about bikes (my last ride to work was left by contractors in a bush), but that is beautiful.
