That was the case full of money Steve Buscemi’s character Carl buried in the snow in Fargo, he’d planned to go back and get it, but a certain woodchipper prevented him from doing so.

That windfall led to Stavros’s fortune, which led to a blackmail scheme, which led to him hiring Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton), who had killed two people on Lester Nygaard’s (Martin Freeman) behalf, which connects everything in the series now to a suitcase left by Carl in the original movie.

Yeah I knew there was a film in the 90's but the start of every episode it says true events from 2006, how can the money from a film before the events be tied to these events, is it a lie about it being a true story or whats going on??

Yes it's a lie. And a lie that's also at the beginning of the movie. Apparently leading to a number of treasure hunters!

Definitely finished now, all tidied up at the end. Wasn't the ending i expected or ideally would have liked to have seen but still worth watching.

Option of a 2nd series available. But to be honest, I think it would spoil it. Ratings might already have sold it though.

SOURCE <-May contain spoilers of Season 1.

I watched the last episode last night. I thought the ending was very good. Not what I expected.

I lost any sympathy i had for Lester when he...

    Spoiler:
Set up his wife to get shot, sending her into his office knowing Lorne Malvoe was in waiting was a twat's trick imo, even if she was pig ugly
