m8 I don't want to say anything yet for a few reasons, 1 of which is that I personally don't know much about it but apart from its a new skybox.

Spoke to someone a while ago when the thompson was being messed with and i got the chamce to get some insight on the broadcom hardware security and it seemed to be that only a decap would help..
That said ive also seen the cable boxes pairing method and it would make more sense thats the kind of approach sly took
Until all the boxs are replaced with broadcom ics that include the hardware security it wouldnt be practical
It coild be that the thompson was
Phased out simply because it could b jragged.
That would then suggest dumping the ram etc Would be a good starting point. But no jtag points have been poated for
Newer boxs.
A log of a card being paired would be good but i doubt anyone who has a clue want there card locking trying to log the coms in their skybox.,
so suppose an ideal starting point would be to see whats changed in the firmware and someone to lock there card for a log. Until then its just guessing about fixs.

It was taken off as he had sold offline clearly. I bet it was just his $ky Italia box with a legit sub. Clever way to trick someone right there!

*EDIT*

My mate 'Rupert' can get boxes. They get all the $ky Channels in HD etc. It uses a 'special' box from $ky. All he asks for is a one off payment of £2000.
He will even send someone round with the box and install a new dish for you! It is guaranteed for life! I know people who have bought one and have used them for 11 months now with no issue and no channels going off..
