List all files in a location on hard drive

So I was messing around trying to get a list of all my music I have ripped to a text file or similar and saw a few programs you could buy to do this for you, hmm not wanting to pay any money out I managed to sort a free option

probably simple to a lot of people but maybe this will be of help to others. . . . .

create a text file and put "dir /s *.* >dirlist.txt" without the " and save it as whatever.bat (change the .txt to .bat) - make sure the file type is set to ANSI

copy that batch file to any folder you want to list the contents of then run it and it will create a text file with all the contents that are in it
