Default Getting cheaper digital download games

So been doing this for a while and if you are getting digital download games well worth the effort

Create a US Amazon account using a US address etc

    Create a US psn account

Buy psn credit from the US Amazon store so you pay 0 tax on it (if you buy the games direct from them you have to pay tax, if you buy credit you pay no tax)

Redeem the codes against your US psn account

Buy whatever game from your US psn account ps store for much cheaper than in the UK - around £35 for most new games

Download game to your US psn profile and install

Switch to your UK psn profile and play the game

    Profit

Also at around £35 a pop I am not too bothered about reselling the games so not bothered about having a disc version

I have Watchdogs bought / paid for and ready to download it cost me £34!

I think this could also work for the Xbox One. Buy MS Points/Credits from Amazon US then use the credit on the US Live store.

35 quid for a download, what the fuck!

I know disks and cases cost pennies but I still find it hard to cough up real cash for non tangible goods.

Nephew asked me to 'give him some credit' for his DS the other week. He wanted to buy Mario Kart 7.
From the Nintendo shop it was £30!! I bought it online for him (physical) instead for much less.

I've a Amazon US account based that shipped quite a few times to the UK if that helps anyone.

Or do you need a US account for US PSN points?

I don't ever tend to sell my games on so saving £10 to £15 on uk prices for me is a winner - also can delete and re download whenever if space is an issue

Going fully digital download where possible this go around

It does work with the xbone I believe you can just change the region on the console and redeem the points without creating a US live account then change the region back to UK

Got myself Trials Fusion from the US store for £11.

Aren't we avoiding tax by buying from the Sony or MS US stores?

LOL - Just wondering what MS and Sony will do about once more and more people clock on to the method.

They probably do not care otherwise they would have prevented this side door.
If it is only the tax they are losing and not their own profit then it is water off their backs.

I never sell my games either, but that's because I like to have them on a shelf above the telly like I did with my VHS tapes in 1985. Old habits die hard.

Just gave this a go. USA PSN account set up fine, but as for Amazon... sheesh.

Set up the US Amazon account and it wouldn't go through due to a UK billing address. So I switch the address to a US one. It fails to go through and is held up for verification as follows:

Sorry, processing of this order is taking longer than expected• This order may take up to 4 hours to process but usually will take less than an hour
    • Please do not re-order this item
    • Once your order is complete, you can download your purchase here. We will also send the download link to your e-mail address
    • For more information, contact us
Has anyone else had an issue with their debit card potentially being held/declined due to the mismatching address? Pretty eager to buy a $50+$10 pair of cards for Watch_Dogs.

Worked fine for me using a borderlinx address / though I didn't try setting up with uk then changing - that maybe what's flagged it

Came through in the end. Bought watch Dogs for £34, no fannying around with disks. A win as far as I'm concerned!

I can get US psn and xbl codes for %10 off us rrp. So $20 codes for $18 = £10.80 roughly. Useful to anyone ? I need to buy a bunch at a time to get them at that price. Makes a full game about £32.40
