Hi looking some words of wisdom
A mate of mine was looking to get one of the new WiFi sly boxes and use the WiFi magic eye to control it but wanted to know is the picture viewed via WiFi through the eye and so doing away with rf2 cable from box? And what's the cheapest way to buy said box? Think sly have them reduced at moment.

The Wi-Fi in the 2014 DRX-890 is for on demand content only.

It is not used for control of the box or for streaming content to another TV. (except from control via the iOS/Android apps)

If you want to use a Magic Eye with the new style box you need the coax cable and Magic Eye as before, and also a new device called an iO Link.

Glad you made sense of that post, I thought it was more of a riddle with the WiFi Magic Eye, cheapest buy, Sly Box.
