The Elephone Vowney is up for presale on geekbuying for $239.99 with a one to three week delivery estimate
hmmmmm just bought the p8000
Based on various things I've seen I think I'll be avoiding Elephones.
Has anyone found a decent forum for these things? It's difficult to know which brands are more reliable than others.
I'm currently looking at:
Innos D6000
Bluboo XTouch X500
Doogee F3
Cubot X16
Leagoo Elite 1
All are 5" screen (5.5" too big for me), decent but not top spec. Big concern for me is always camera quality, the Innos is reported to be good but is bulky due to the massive battery capacity.

The one plus x looks nice would have bought one but only 16gb rom yes you can add a micro sd but then you can't have a second sim card silly idea if you ask me
Not the elephone that im holding in my hand
These Wileyfox phones seem goodhttp://m.androidcentral.com/hands-wi...ampaign=nextv2

Just to let you guys know that i ordered a couple of P8000 handsets from Focal Price, based off a suggestion on here and still awaiting delivery 45 days later.
Tracking states that they were shipped overseas on 30 October. erm... did they fit the phones with flippers and tell them to swim over?!
Wishing I had waited for the Vowney now.
I got my P8000 from Ebay, love the phone, love the battery. You can tell its not as polished as a top tier supplier, but still the quality isn't shabby. Finger print reader works 90% of the time if you put your finger on it correctly (i take this as more secure)
1 lesson i have learnt, the hard way, is never accept OTA updates! I accepted one in an airport travelling home and it got my phone in a constant bootloop. The 'fix' that Elephone suggest is to manually flash the rom again using their Chinese tools (and rubbish drivers) took a little while and i am back up and running. From their forums it seems like this is a common issues with all their OTAs.
Also their Loader is rubbish too, first thing to do is remove that and put Google (or what ever you like) loader on. My sister didn't know how to do that and within a week their loader started to fail and she had a constantly flashing screen.
I know the feeling Shawtek...
Ordered a Cubot x 16 with Amazon on Tuesday for £125 its dearer than Banggood but it arrived yesterday, Initial thoughts are good.
It looks and feels quality and screen is more crisp and responsive than my samsung prime. It came with no bloatware and had google apps pre-loaded, i've stuck a few apps on like whatsapp and Facebook aswell as a couple of games and they all are working well.
I've not really tested the Camera or Satnav yet and its to early to comment on battery life but i am really happy with it.
The only thing that i can find as a negative at the moment is the dual sim holder, if you wan't to use a sd card it sits in the micro sim slot
