Default 2 PC's via 1 wireless keyboard and mouse.

2x PC's via 1x wireless keyboard and mouse.

I'm using Synergy Enterprises at this mo via a 30 day trial and it works a treat but at $80 a year its expensive.

Does anyone have an alternative so I can control 2x PC's via one wireless keyboard and mouse but I don't want to use a KVM.

Login to the first PC and remote desktop onto the other PC.

Hook up 2 monitors to the graphics card if your main pc has this.

Found out that Synergy has a free open source version available so dropped the paying version and choose the open source.

    Works a treat

Link to the software is HERE

    Laters

Synergy is software for sharing one keyboard and mouse between multiple computers. Synergy supports all major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) and has been in development since May 2001.

Share your mouse and keyboard between multiple computers on your desk.

    • Seamlessly move your mouse to any computer and start typing.
    • Works on all major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux).
    • Share your clipboard (copy and paste) between your computers.
    • Drag and drop files from one computer to another (Premium).
    • Encryption keeps sensitive data safe on public networks.
    • Save space on your desktop by using one keyboard and mouse.
    • Network-based (IP) software KVM switch (non-video).
    • An alternative to a keyboard/mouse USB switch.
    • Useful for multiboxing (WoW and other games).
    • Easily turn your old laptop or desktop PC into a second screen.
    • Avoid needing VNC for computers close by.
