Default Fire and Salt BBQ Crash Course

    Anybody going to attend this?

Think I'll be grabbing a ticket, free parking too, good way to spend a sunday!

    8:00AM to 2:00PM – 17th AUGUST 2014

Manchester, Chester Road, Old Trafford, Manchester

Barbecue is one of America’s great cooking art forms. Carried out for hundreds of years, there’s more to cooking great barbecue than just slapping a pork shoulder or brisket in a smoker. This course will teach you all the basics to understand how to run your smoker, how to prepare and flavour your meats and how to choose the right woods to smoke, rubs to apply and sauces to finish. Here’s a run through of what we’ll cover on the course:

Running your smoker – Woods, smokes and heat control
    Rubs, marinades and sauces
    Pork Shoulder
    Brisket
    Ribs
    Chicken

We’ll make sure you’re well fed as there’ll be food throughout the day as well as a big meal at the end where you’ll get to try a bit of everything we cover on the course.

    Ticket price – £70

That looks to be very good for the price. Let me know how you get on!

I did a backyard bbq and competition course with Harry So from Slap Yo Daddy BBQ a few years back and that was fantastic.

Got an email last night to say this has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales, said they may try it again next month.

Don't think i'll bother if they do attempt another. Got my refund straight away.

That explains the random call from my brother this morning.
    He didn't say why though.
    Oh well

Poor ticket sales£ .. £70 think you might find that's the reason for poor ticket sales .. Some people might think its worth it but still steep for a lot I imagine
