help needed buying XBMC box

Thought I would post an update. After Christmas I ordered two of the boxes like miffy has, via aliexpress. The cost was $91.98 and I got a post office credit card especially for the purchase after getting burned on foreign currency fees with a debit card recently (moan over). These boxes are very good and came included with the wizard. All I had to add manually was acestream.

Had an email from droidsticks saying their wizard will need login details soon. Details can be used from two IP addresses, no more than that.

is it easy to ad add-ons yourself or do they ristrict it, also is there much xxx add ons on xbmc

Whats the difference of buying from them or ebay as its 40 odd quid the difference.

There wasn't much difference before Bob but with the new login requirement for their wizard you'd have to install your own apps or use another wizard such as the one from tvaddons. It's not as straightforward as loading their droidsticks addon onto the box, because when you use the addon it then downloads everything from their server (that's how it seems to work anyway). One login can be used five times from the same connection so if you've got a houseful and have a legit box then - you know what I mean.

Get ya buy one of them then program one of ebay as I'm looking 2 off them as my mum cant get virgin and she cant put up a sat dish because of the trees surrounding the house .

If I have time late evening I'll have a go mate but there are multiple addons to achieve what you want but with variable quality. For example there is a HQ zone which is normally excellent.

Folks I am an absolute xbmc whore and I can confirm Droidsticks boxes are very good and their wizard is actually what you pay the money for. Every few weeks they release an update which you implement with one click, it downloads the latest add-ons and playlists. If you want to know more let me know.

Cheers lads as long as she can get TLC and Living and CI she will be ok. Alright rookie hows things give me a shout when it comes and what it's like. I was gona buy one for myself just for the 4 k content it plays.

Folks I've seen a couple of thanks on my earlier post. Seriously, if anyone wants any advice on xbmc matters do let me know.
I practically spent all of my spare time over the 2 years learning how to set xbmc up on various platforms from PC to Apple TV to MAC, to Android boxes.
Anyone can install the xbmc application. then the next level would be to learn how to install the various add-ons (via repos so that they auto-update) but the hardest part is keeping up with the movement. Add-ons stop working, new ones come out by various authors from various online communities (the two main ones are tvaddons and xunity). However Droidsticks handle the update part for you. Their wizard is available for everyone who purchases one of their boxes and when you execute is it removes the deadwood and adds the latest working add-ons. And to top it all off at the moment Droidsticks seem to have a partnership going on with a sports provider called HQZone, everyone with a Droidsticks box gets access to HQZone premium sports through their box; this is basically access to live sports such as EPL including 3pm kick offs. Droidsticks have not confirmed how long this partnership will last though, it could end at any time.
